What desserts can I make without using a oven?
I’m planning a dessert party and don’t know what desserts to make without the use of an oven. Also, does anyone know any nonalcoholic drinks I can make besides coffee?

The weather may be a little chilly.

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Recipe By : Cheryl McCandless <fish1@utc.campus.mci.net>
Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient — Preparation Method
——– ———— ——————————–
2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla

Put 2 cups of sugar in a boiler; add 2 tablespoons of cocoa. Stir. Add 1/2
cup of milk. Add 1/2 cup of butter or margarine. Stir. Put the boiler on
the stove. Turn heat to low; cook until it starts to boil. Stir as it
cooks. Boil about 2 minutes; remove from stove. Add 1/3 cup of peant
butter; add 2 cups of rolled oats. Stir until well mixed. Add 1 teaspoon
of vanilla; let cool. Drop on plate by spoon and refrigerate.

Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.

I make these all the time for my children. Since you do not have to bake
these, low fat or fat free butter can be used. Just watch closely on the
stove. You may also use skim milk. It will help reduce the fat in the
cookies. Hope you enjoy!!!!

If you have a crock pot go to this link and it will give you desserts you can make in a crock pot
http://recipes.bhg.com/recipes/searchResults.jsp?start=1&searchType=browse&resultsType=recipe&adCategory=4&_requestid=145031

Then after you have found those recipes that you like you can search there website for beverages. Maybe some eggnog or white hot chocolate, or mexican hot chocolate.

They also have other recipes for desserts that don’t require an oven or a crockpot, but the link i gave you was dessert made in a crock pot. If you don’t have a crock pot, just click on home and go to the recipe index and go to appliance and pick the appliance you want to use, like microwave. Then in search, type dessert, or click this link and it will take you to that page http://recipes.bhg.com/recipes/searchResults.jsp?start=1&searchType=text&resultsType=recipe&resultCategory=kitchen&_requestid=147328

Desserts that you can make without an oven is Gello, Pudding, and you can buy ice cream. Drinks you can make is: Hot Wassail:
4 cups (1 quart) unsweetened apple juice
3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
2 cups sugar-free cranberry juice cocktail
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
3 whole cloves
Lemon slices
Cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)

Combine all ingredients except cinnamon sticks for garnish in large kettle and simmer over low heat 10 minutes. Serve warm with cinnamon stick garnish in each cup, if desired. Can be kept warm on a holiday buffet in crockpot set on low. Makes 18 ( 1/2-cup) servings, each with 65 calories.

Rose Lime Cooler

4 cups boiling water
8 cranberry-flavored tea bags
2 cups unsweetened apple juice, chilled
2 cups lime-flavored sparkling water, chilled
2 cans (12 ounces each) diet white soda
Lemon and lime slices or wedges for garnish (optional)
Icy Fruit Wreath (optional; see recipe)

Pour boiling water over tea bags, cover and let steep 5 minutes. Discard tea bags, cover and chill tea. Stir in apple juice, sparkling water and soda just before serving. Serve over crushed ice and garnish with lemon and/lime slices, or serve in punch bowl with Icy Fruit Wreath. Makes 11 (1-cup) servings, each with 20 calories.

Icy fruit wreath:

2 cups crushed ice
4 small clusters red or purple seedless grapes
4 1/4-inch-thick orange slices
1/2 Rome apple and 1/2 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
2 cups unsweetened apple juice

Place 2 cups crushed ice in bottom of 6-cup ring mold. Arrange grape clusters, orange slices and apple slices in ice. Carefully pour apple juice around fruit, filling mold almost to the top. Freeze 8 hours. To release mold, place in large bowl of warm water for 5 seconds. Carefully unmold ring and place, fruit side up, in filled punch bowl. Makes 1 wreath.

Hot Spiced Cider

2 cups unsweetened apple juice
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
1/2 orange, thinly sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cups sugar-free ginger ale

Combine all ingredients except ginger ale in medium saucepan. Cover and simmer over low heat 15 minutes. Add ginger ale and heat 5 minutes longer. Remove fruit and cinnamon sticks and serve warm. Makes 4 (1-cup) servings.

I hope this helps.

There a lot of cream pie type desserts you can make using instant pudding. Throw your prefered variety in a pre-made graham crust and add a little fresh fruit or whipped cream. You can also make a tiramisu using store bought pound cake or lady fingers…no oven required. I would serve a variety of flavored teas and maybe even hot chocolate along with the desserts.
