just plonk them in some very hot water for about 30 minutes(no chemicals of couse).
Should do the job. Just don’t put them back in the tank hot – otherwise it’ll be fish and chips for dinner.

boil water first then drop your stones in the pot. bring back to a boil for ten minutes. Turn off the water and let it cool down to the point where you can comfortably pull the rocks out by hand. Do not put the stones back into the tank until they are back down to room temperature. (I put mine in a baggy and throw them in the frig for about 5-10 minutes. then let them sit another hour.)

My fish just died and i got a new one. People say to boil the rocks before i put my new fish in. How long do i boil the rocks?
