If you give them enough love and don’t treat them like wild animals, then they won’t try to burrow out. If you have a spare room in the house, make that your rabbit room. Stock food in the closet and put a square fence behind the door. This way you can get in and the bunnies are contained.

You could try about 6-12 inches.and also you could add top soil inside the fenced area to build soil up, add some shrubs so they can hide in the bushes.make sure they have a hutch for them for protection from the environment

What is the deepest that rabbits will burrow with no restrictions?
I am looking at keeping my rabbits contained by burying the fence around their yard underground, I want them to be able to dig burrows freely, but still keep them contained. I just don’t know how deep to bury the fence.
